    Blackberry curve battery life

I've had my blackberry curve for about 3 weeks now and just recently the battery can't go a full day without losing all of its juice. Anyone else have one and get the same result? This is my first blackberry and I'm not sure if this is normal or not. I would say I'm a moderate user, I have my corporate email and my personal email on there and would make under a dozen short calls on it daily.

I've had one for about 2 months and haven't had any problems with it yet. according to the it guy at my office, though, we'd have to get a $3000 server for me to be able to access my company email. bs.

I think you should send your post to RIM. They may just tap into a whole new market

your battery is defo defective. who is your provider? i would speak with them first to see what your options are. most wireless carriers warranties will not cover batteries.

                          Re: Blackberry curve battery life

                          Step 1:
Setup an email account with a domain of your choice. In my case, its Kamal@mjwebhosting.com. For this, you'd need to use your office email address or if its personal, then register a domain, setup a hosting account for it and create an email account (fyi I have setup a few customers with email only hosting and prices were halved or even dropped to a quarter of the rate of regular hosting but the package size + space stay the same).

                          Step 2:
After email account has been setup, create a free gmail account. Have your main email account auto-forward EVERY incoming email to your gmail account. This way, even if your primary email server does NOT have spam filtering, your gmail account will now become the spam filter.

                          Step 3:
Create your blackberry email account with your provider i.e. username@cell_provider.blackberry.com in my case its XXX@tmo.blackberry.net. Setup gmail to auto-forward only those emails coming from your work email onto your blackberry email address. If you own your blackberry even for personal use, you can also setup gmail to autoforward everything to that blackberry address.

                          AND YOU'RE SET....

That is exactly how I have set mine up. Advantage is, all your work email and personal email is available on your phone and on gmail. From my hosting standpoint, its incredible cause gmail search is very useful + fast. Also if you lose your handheld or have to return it to your office when you quit work, there is an archive of all your messages on gmail. Not to mention if you're in a place where Cell service is spotty but have access to an internet connection, you can check your email anywhere in the world

                          Hope that helps.

I did this same thing with my gmail account when I had my blackberry at my last job. It was simple to setup a gmail rule to forward all my personal mail to my handheald, it was awesome.
I would buy something on ebay, click 'buy it now', and 2 seconds later I would hear by blackberry ding, it was sweet.

wow, thanks a lot! makes a lot of sense, but i'd never think to do it that way. i'll try to set it up when i get a chance. i haven't looked into setting up an email account with the provider yet, so i'm not sure what's involved there. it's free right?
