Hey everybody, I just signed up here and thought I should introduce myself before I start flaming people and posting lascivious photos of donkeys and such...
My name is Marky Star.
I am a DJ and Producer from the U.S.
Two of my friends, Jenks and Osamu M, have been telling me to join.
So I finally did.
I looked around the site and saw some familiar faces,
and I look forward to meeting some new ones!
Anyhoo...
I thought I'd take a minute to tell you guys about a new project I'm working on called /qoo7.
It's a series of limited records I'm doing (like a mini-label).
The sound is genre-free, lurking somewhere in between the tech-house/acid house zone and progressive house.
Most of the tracks are things that I think no DJ should be without,
but most labels wouldn't risk signing.
The vinyl releases are all limited edition (only a few thousand copies)
and there are special internet-only alternate mixes sold as downloads.
So between the vinyl and internet versions, each release has plenty of mixes to choose from.
Here's a quick peek at the artists I'll be featuring:
Little Mike & Ty Tek
Daniel Poli
Nukes
Marky Star & the Acid Orchestra
Freaky Chakra
Osamu M
BT's Hair ---------> i'll post more about this one in the Vinyl section...
Jenks tells me there are a lot of mixes hosted on this site,
that's great.
I'm looking forward to checking some out.
word 2 your mutha,
Marky
