Afterlife & Pete Gooding Present No Logo: "Dark Star"

    A1. ‘Dark Star’ (Original Mix)
A2. ‘Dark Star’ (Christian Sol Remix)

B1. ‘Dark Star’ (Francois DuBois Remix)

    1.‘Dark Star’ (Neil Quigley Remix)
    2. ‘Dark Star’ (John Moss Remix)

Two names synonymous with the magic of Ibizan sunsets, Afterlife and Pete Gooding, have teamed-up in production as No Logo following the success of their collaboration on the Café Mambo compilation albums. ‘Dark Star’ is the first release from an album currently in development and combines the pair’s renowned ear for the musically serene with a knowing nod towards the dancefloor. Four bold remixes translate the track for different moods, including a majestic club mix from Monsieur Francois DuBois!

A1. ‘Dark Star’ (Original Mix) – With its heavy bass and breakbeat, this track’s more dusk-time club preparation than sunset cocktail lounging, though despite the bite it still maintains soft, mellow swirls of melody.

A2. ‘Dark Star’ (Christian Sol Remix) –A self-assured techy, jerky, warped yet jolly interpretation from Norwegian Christian Sol. Sick.

B1. ‘Dark Star’ (Francois DuBois Remix)– Ooh la la! Our favourite fake Frenchman has done it again. Bearing the trademark chords, vintage-sounding depth, and emphatic, deliberate progression, this remix hits the mark, and brings to mind Francois’ bed-fellow’s ‘Diabla’.

1.‘Dark Star’ (Neil Quigley Remix)–Bedrock favourite and Urbantorque’s own Neil Quigley captivates and teases with his epic emotive house version of ‘Dark Star’.

    2. ‘Dark Star’ (John Moss Remix) – Another Norwegian, another fine remix. John Moss offers a deep, intense, drum-fill-filled rework.

No Logo are Steve Miller (Afterlife, Lux, Kid Stone) and Pete Gooding (ex Café Mambo, Ibiza resident for 10 years). Their first track together, ‘Bacalao’, was featured on numerous compilations around the world encouraging them to start work on an album. ‘Dark Star’ is the first single from this album which has already received critical acclaim from the likes of John Digweed, Sasha, Nic Fancuilli, Tom middleton and Jose Padilla.
