    Hip-Hop Mixes

Anyone know of any good hip-hop mixes in the vein of Nightmares On Wax's DJ Kicks disc, or like this track off of Farinas Mushroom Jazz 5 Disc: DJ Nu-Mark - Chali 2NA Comin' Thru.

I like the stuff on the DJ Kicks disc alot, more underground hip-hop, I dont care about gangsta shit, or a bunch of crazy scratches. I like the Skratch Piklz and all of that battle DJ'ing but I want some good tunes mixed together...Any suggestions?

Cinematic Orchestra is cool, Ozomalti, Freestyle Fellowship, and Guru, Planet Asia are a bit different.

yo resonator: there's a DJ back in indy called dj JF. he's got some really dope hip hop mixes. i'll put on his 2000 club mecca mix a few times a month. no scratching, no talkovers, just straight up hip hop mixing. i found a few of his mix cd's for cheap over at Rockin' Billy's on Keystone. you might like to check that place out.

it's not like kruder, or nightmares on wax stuff, but it's not gangsta stuff either.
you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky

it's RA. they'd blow their load all over some stupid 20 minute loop of a snare if it had a quirky flange setting. - Tiddles

Freestyle Fellowship is different. Good stuff there.

The 1st Lyricist Lounge was pretty good. Its a 2 disc compilation of freestylin' unsigned artists... most of them. Not sure how much freestylin there is on that but I enjoyed it very much.

I've got loads more by Craze, Scratch Perverts, and a few by Nu-Mark.

Good thing about hip hop mixes is that the good hip hop was 80's/90's, todays mainstream sucks balls imo, so the mixes rare ever get old.

edit: didnt see your point about not liking turntablism lol, good mixes nevertheless

Been enjoying this the past cpl of months also,
