i tend to associate Anthony Pappa's Balance CD (disk 1) with what you're looking for. i'm sure it was totally unintentional....but that's teh way that disk turned out i think.

i really can't think of anything closer....

            I would definitely recommend:

Jimmy Van M Bedrock CD from 2001
            or
Chris Fortier Berdock CD from 2002.

Especially CD 1 of Van M, I strongly believe is very close to what you are looking for. Excellent selection of tracks and solid-smooth-steady transitions.

i was listening to it the other week and as much as i love the sasha mix more than the digweed half ( in the past ) i now find myself liking the songs on digweeds half better, its a better tempo is not as agressive, i used to hate digweed as well

                      no seriously i did

I didn't know they did one each. I always thought it was a joint effort. Like the other 3. Thats a new one on me.

It's a myth that they did one disc each. All the NE releases are joint efforts.

jointuletz - there are 3 Northern Exposures

                          1. Northern Exposure 1 (North Disc & South Disc). North disc is very chilled and melodic, South disc is a bit more upbeat. A fantastic package.

                          2. Northern Exposure 2 (East Disc & West Disc). East disc is very breaksy. West disc is more clubbier

                          3. Northern Exposure Expeditions - Both discs are very club orientated.

That's what i always thought considering there is a mixture of tracks they both played on all discs. Some people think mixes are done on 2 turntables and in one hit. So if they fucked up near the end, they would have to go back and start again.

On Northern Exposure 2 wern't labeled East Disc & West Disc, they where labeled Expo 1 & Expo 2. I always think of Communicate as a Northern Exposure
