Funky / Vocal House

Ive attainded a new residency at a club which I get to play out once a week, 5 hrs set. starting in 2 weeks.

The club manager wanted me to drop funky / vocal house set lasting atleast 90 mins. Im more into progressive, tech house and breakz need some aid in getting some peak time club slammers in the funky / vocal house gerne. So if ne of ya'll know some records I shud get ordered pls
do post in here and keep the thread running.

Not a foreign predicament for me...maybe you can feed them vocally stuff with a proggier edge...here's a few I've come across in the past few weeks that may help:

funky could mean just throwing down shit with a good groove and bassline...try in this case a lot of the US West Coast/Chicago sounds...many of them can blend very well in and out of progressive...

I would collaborate with the owner just to be sure what they think "funky" is..that way you can both work together and find stuff you'll like, they'll like and the punters'll like...

nice job though...5 hour sets are great to play!
