threehills, this is a lot like the philly show btw.you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky
it's RA. they'd blow their load all over some stupid 20 minute loop of a snare if it had a quirky flange setting. - Tiddles
Am I somewhere....in the corners of your mind....

Seeing them the night before this set sounded like the early/mid part of the NYC set, you knew they were gonna play a long set, so they took their time to really build it up over the night then destroy the survivors between 5 and 6am, by then the people still there had mentally left the building. The songs became building blocks for that head shaking moment when you realize they just spent the past four hours building up for one moment and it arrives, which is what pretty much everyone on this board lives for, not everyone likes this flow of S&D, they were way more clubbier by the time the SF show rolled around, full throttle, way more animated, playing back to back, dare I say more rave like. Pretty sure a fair amount of people saw the Spring Club Tour what do you think or remember, as for myself not much, it was fun as hell though. Hopefully, they feel the need to make a Spring US tour an annual thing, probably mostly for the younger people who cannot get into the 21 and up clubs.Originally posted by ShpiraSo came back last night...
Sven Vath was amazing...he played a god damn killer set...ended up going to that and came to at like 10 am in some whore house in south Amsterdam...no idea how I ended up there...friday was a bit of a blur got really drunk and visited several parties can't remember a whole lot to be honest hehe...saturday was probably the best day that I recall...started up in the nearest coffee shop and going from party to party...beautiful woman, beer and weed...finished the night by taking some shrooms and listening to an amazing elke kleijn set...sunday...i met a nice girl who worked at one of the coffee shops and ended up talking to her for like 6 hours...was supposed to meet her at some DnB party...but instead went for a steak and walked around red light district bars drinking and smoking...monday took it easy went to a coffee shop and took a taxi to airport....
All in all...I think I will be going back there some time soonOriginally posted by IlluminateLet me get this straight.
So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:
1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...

Re: John Digweed's 200th Episode of Transitions - (June 27th, 2008 Special)
sakio and i share the same opinion. obvioulsy his is slightly more colorful and maybe even angrier than mine, but for the people who "think" sasha and john digweed have lost their momentum, i beg of them to recalculate. remember when Northern Exposure came out and they were praised for being years ahead of their game? well the same can be said about today. they play the best music that comes available to them, which is by far thousands of tracks more than any of us hear no matter what we purchase/download/etc...
they take the tracks that move them, and put them in to their rotation the same any of you would take the latest cereal thats on sale and eat it. when i read comments such as "or they're stale" and "oh they sold out years ago" i cannot help but stand in defense of them. are we not the same group that praised them for being ahead of their time? are we not the same group who praised them for raising the bar? nowadays our music world is overly saturated with other dj's who bring forth new ideas and templates for the ever iconic 'Mix CD' and the founding fathers are brushed aside because the music they played last night wasn't "inspirational"
imo, most of the population nowadays holds them to the standard they delivered 12 years ago, meanwhile the standard they deliver today is still very much inspirational, or even "futuristic"
now don't get me wrong, i dont stand here and preach that every beat they drop is the best thing on earth. even elvis had an off day. but it seems like as soon as they dont play Chilling Moments or I'm Free then they are rated as "has-beens"
i'm so tired of it.
they are, and always will be pioneers, even if the set they played last night didn't encourage you to impregnate your own mother.
can we please get back to the age of objectivity and listen with open arms?Comment

now theres nothing wrong with people not liking a certain style but i think most people are becoming closed minded before even giving it a chance or at least being negative about it.Comment
