Should i stay or should i go?

So like most things in life its never easy.

I have been offered a job in Hong Kong. Good enough money and the job could be interesting.

But i dont know if i want to go. To be honest with you, i dont really feel for it. Everytime i run through it in my head, i never end up going. I always want to stay. its a good oopourtunity but I'm happy where I am physically, socially and mentally. The thing that needs something more is on the work front. That said having moved around, its never easy moving to a new country and starting over. New challenges and oppourtunities is great, but then losing what u have is the downside. and this has to balanced with what u can gain. and i feel that i have more to lose than gain.

apart from that i may have a good offer from a company nearby here. which i would prefer.

They say you ask for advice when u already know the answer, just wish u didnt.

I guess i already know what i want. just wondered what your opinions are?

No one can decide but you....Besides, who the fuck do you think you are? Most people would die to have a job opportunity in Hong Kong...WTF man....

sounds like you already know the answer.

and yes, many may covet a job offer in a place like HK...sounds very cool. but the reality of moving to such a place can often be a different story. big, foreign cities can be very tough to move to alone, and your first year or so can be a miserable one until you finally get on your feet. if the clear incentives aren't there, it may be better to stay where you already know you are happy.

Haven't we been over this before?! Have you been to HK? For how long? Did you enjoy it? HK is very packed and claustrophobic, which might be what's putting you off?

check and see if they'll give you a trip to check out the area. not out of context to ask. maybe then your decision would be easier.

I would say take some time to review your goals in life. Where do you want to be in ten years, twenty years and this includes all areas of your life, not just financial. Too many focus on small aspects of their lives. Everything is connected. Take it all in and have perspective of the bigger picture. It truly does come down to what is most important to you. Knowing that is 90% of the game.

don´t waste your life for a job... when you die, they replace you with some one else... so, your life ment nothing... money comes and goes; use your life to do something more signifficant imo

Hong Kong would have been a better proposition under British rule - plus don't let Digweeds GU 014 cloud your judgement.




You could always give it 12-months and look for a new opportunity if it doesn't work out.

Plus my girls from asia and she very very hot.

Why not it seems like your profession has global appeal, so if HK and is not for you then I am sure you could land on your feet elsewhere.
