    Dave Matthews Band 2008 Tour

Most EDM lovers could give a flying shit about the Dave Matthews Band, but for me, they are something special..I've seen them for the past 13 or 14 years straight. I plan on going to see them in West Palm on July 12th...

Something else I wanted to share with those of you that are going...

    1. The keyboardist, Butch Taylor, decided to leave them this year.

    2. The saxaphonist, Leroi Moore, was in an ATV accident and is in the hospital.

Just an FYI....If you care to discuss, feel free to do so.
    RIP ~ Steve James

violinist is boyd tinsley and is great.

i love dmb, i usually go see them every summer here at deer creek outside here near indy each year. great summer event for myself and a big group of friends. great times, go hang outside during the summer and drink and then go listen to dave and enjoy the great uplifting summer tunes that dave puts out that just makes you happy to be alive.
looking forward to seeing him in about a month.
i didnt hear about that atv accident, hopefully he is ok...

So much better live than studio, not really buying his current direction, but the band knows how to deliver the goods.

Hell yeah, the vibe at their "party" is insane! Weed smoke everywhere, haha.

He is ok. Expected to make a full recovery...Meanwhile, Jeff Coffin, from Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, will be taking his place until he is able to come back.

^^^ Same here. Crowded Streets was the last one that really did it for me, since then I've been kinda eeehhhh about their releases.

But put these guys on a stage in front of a couple thousand smoked out, trippin hippies and it's a whole other story - there's a reason they sell out every stop on every tour every year, they put on one kick ass show.

I managed to see Dave and Tim Reynolds back in '99 during the acoustic tour for the Luther College album. Small theater up in Syracuse, maybe 400 people, just those two with a couple guitars and a mic stand - was one of the best concert experiences I've ever been to.

^^Very true..Their cd releases have been great. But to judge them soley on their "cd sound" doesn't do them justice..They are a live, jam, band..Something to see, even if you aren't into "that kind of music"..The take it to the next level...Been on e a few times seeing them when I was younger, and almost couldn't handle it!! They shred it that hard.

This picture is one of those times.. Hahaha

^^I have never been a huge fan of the acoustic stuff that he does..I prefer the whole band. It was great when the "Lovely Ladies" were a part of the band, too. Those women could sing!

The jam from 5 minutes until around 7 minutes where it peaks in this video is the reason why I keep going to see them.
