Iphone Customization/Modding

Essentially how i've modded mine.... Screen shots attached below


Mods: Loading screens for applications when opening, System Fonts modded along with different clock font on lock screen, Replaced stock SMS app, Custom ipod graphics for the volume bar along with its backdrop, Carrier text changed, Custom text on lock screen, Jet black dialer mod, Safari web-browser is completely black along with the whole user interface, with red highlights for touches along with red sliders.. Customized black keyboard, customized home screen with trash icon along with working HD icon that classifies apps into working folders...


Thoughts on how i've tweeked the look, n maybe some screen shots for ppl who know how to take them with there phone, to see what others in the MS community have done with there phones

this is pretty cool, so is all that stuff on your phone because you unlocked it, or can you do these things 'legally'?

Everything u see that i've done to my phone, would be coined illegal, cuz apple wants everyone to have the same BORING standard user interface, n thats no fun, where the sense of SELF...

Since the phone first got released huge underground community developed to fill in what apple seemed to have forgetten in terms of apps... All those apps offcourse were illegal, because apple closed the file system which is why u cant use the phone as a usb drive like u could with the old ipods. Hackers found a way around that little pitfall, n now theres a wealth of users who reap the benifits of the quality apps that are out there... However with the 2.0 software gettin released on july 11th with the new iphone, apple is goin to have a legal way to distribute apps, but at the sametime it controsl whats suitable or not which is really lame seeing how they're tryin to play the big daddy role.

When it comes down to the issue of legality, if i purchase anything, I do as i damn please with what ive bought.. Plus modding opens up a new world to what u can do with standard stuff, so im for it...

yeah being locked in to one compans vision sucks...too bad any google android based stuff arent around the corner anytime soon, im all for open source apps

the only thing i did was use iRing to turn the piano riff from François Dubois' I try into my ringtone. i'll have to check out this other stuff

looks good. i too can not stand having to deal with my shit looking like everyone else's. have to stay away from the iPhone because of the corp. plan I am on with my curve. for those of you with curves check out http://www.colorwarepc.com/p-117-blackberry-curve.aspx

i have a white one with black sides and black bottom, it's all kinds of storm trooper looking, also have a solid black housing with black frame around the screen and black buttons, it's all deathed out, both look great. They are kinda expensive, but worth it imo. i will say their customer service sucks tho.
