he wont be touring again.

he said he may do one off shows at small venues in NYC, and he will keep doing his Long island bit where he just shows up to restaurants and plays without notice.

he's about 20 years past his sell by date.

Phenomenal songwriter and musician in his day tho.

saw billy joel a few years back. went to the show as a favor to my dad since his date backed out on him at the last minute and ended up turning into a great night just hanging out with the old fart. piano man sent shivers down my spine. helluva musician. was defo one of the best shows i have seen aside from the riteous brothers, kiss & ratm.

i saw an interview like five years ago where he pretty much said he didn't enjoy doing tours anymore and wanted to retire even then. guy is a bit of a headcase, to be honest...

^^Most artists are headcases...That's why they are artist's. I've never heard an interview with him, anxious to hear one now and witness what his mindstate is. His songs can be a bit wacky though.
