first baseball game i went to was a spring training game between yanks/rangers. mattingly hit a homerun and the yankees killed em. been hooked ever since. i was 9 or 10 so it was pretty captivating.

I guess i understand since they train down here, but curious

nope. i was a fan of theirs before they trained in tampa.
went down to see them in ft lauderdale before they moved up here. jerk!
