you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky

it's RA. they'd blow their load all over some stupid 20 minute loop of a snare if it had a quirky flange setting. - Tiddles

if your turntables are in good condition, you can mix for ages on 1200's.. if they float really bad and you cant, its time to get them looked at

lol @ 88Mariner.. I dont think he is saying digital sounds better than vinyl.. i think he is saying because of the ease in layering and looping some mixes can sound better.. at least i hope thats what he means

i think the future is vinyl-computer hybrids. CD players are reduntant with the PC/Mac. Vinyl will never go away. Not with serato.

when was the last time you saw somebody carrying a cd player around (as opposed to an ipod)?

the good thing about cds is that you have tons of music. often my buddy would bring a bag of records assuming he was going to play a certain type of set, to show up and have the vibe be totally different.... i have a pile of music where i can handle any circumstance. so that works out well when the vibe is unpredictable....

i was comparing it to real vinyl not serato.

serato will have the same quality as cds

hah, for the first time a couple of weeks ago, all i brought to an outdoor rooftop jam i spun at was a usb key and then used the serato settup there. it thought that was weird. 3 worth of music and all i had to carry was the key. but i still prefer Cdjs, for precision mixing with all the fx that the full pioneer system can offer.
