"KING UNIQUE have hooked up with DJmag for an exclusive competition. Throwing open the vaults, they're offering readers the chance to remix three classic tracks — 'Sugarhigh', 'Hinode' and 'Dirty'. The winners' remixes will be released as part of a special package on Curfew.

Open to all styles of music, Thomas and Roberts are encouraging breaks heads, dubstep lovers, d&b nuts and house fans to get involved — the more diverse the entries, the better.

"We want to hear people do something a little bit unusual with the tracks — it would be good to hear someone take them to a new place," explained Thomas. "With three tunes running at once in the competition, we want people to pick whatever they vibe off the most."

Parts of 'Sugarhigh', 'Dirty' and 'Hinode' will be available free on request. Simply send an email to remix@kingunique.com to receive the parts and further details of the competition (where to deliver the remix, etc.). The winning tracks will be judged by King Unique themselves, and will be released in the autumn. The competition closes 29th July."

I just put a post on Beatportal to try to find out. I sent in my remix a couple months ago and have been waiting to hear back since.

Well they have been so slow with this whole thing anyway that who knows...they obviously didn't have many people entering if they had to make the deadline even longer. I sent my track in at the end of July, then that's when they changed it to August.

I may just give my version away anyway. But I think I'm going to retouch it up a bit to what I'm more into now.

Yeah, I'm after getting myself some new Mackie MR8 monitors and listening back to KU track now, it defo needs some touching up
