Well. I didn't record the set. My set was plagued with problems, from the decks not working right with the mixer, to a guy wanting to always be talking over the system to tell girls about a freakin hoola hoop contest...which ended up in a fight between a number of guys. Bunch of macho headcases. Then I didn't get to play any of my tracks. I basically just played a set for the girls who kept bugging me about what I was playing.

A night like this really leaves me to wonder whether or not to continue with this whole DJ'ing thing. I think i'm just much happier being an artist and working on my paintings. Perhaps putting out a new track every now and again, but I don't think i'm going to focus anymore on playing out in clubs.

It sounds like your tracks would have been pearls before swine anyway. That actually sounds like the sort of club none of us would want to go to.

well unfortunately it seems like in Columbus there is always a bachelorette party you have to play around, which always has women egging you on to play something that you don't have.

mate, we all have nights like this is.. keep your head up, take a few days to reflect, put a mix together to promote on here or online somewhere that people will really appreciate.. dont let some clueless fly by night club goers affect your passion for music, you're bigger than that

The Djs here just say "sorry it's not in my bag tonight" It's considered really bad form to make requests of the Dj !

OH shit, you wouldn't believe how persistant this broad was with her questions. They acted like it was a sin to be a dj and not have Wild Thing in with my songs.

I will definitely treat things differently next time.

has anyone EVER seen a dj wearing one of those shirts...and one a dj that you HAVE seen spin again at the same space. Seems to me they would piss off the club owner.

just something that came to mind

next gig, make sure the club owner knows that no persons are allowed near you until you leave the dj booth.

tell him it's a matter for security purposes b/c of the high-cost of his equipment and the high cost of your music and equipment. That always helped me.

very interesting. I know the guy who had the sound was a bit perturbed when he saw liquid at the bottom of his speaker cabinet.

I see in the videos at Space, they actually have a booth that is locked and away from requester's...if only i could get to that space to spin.
