    AL east right now.

can you feel the chase yet? loving this season more than any since thier 98 run. not just for the quote un quote yankees. for it all, the phillies, mets, rays, sox, etc, for the surprises, i.e. yanks bullpen, hamilton, dioneer navarro, mariano rivera's just unconcious year, those who have and those who dont.

every team has holes. all of them. there is no clear cut favorite in any division. im watching 3 games a day between ESPN.com and Cable Tv.

    so much to follow
but speaking as a yanks fan, this year is great if you actually care for the game and arent some front running fna who forgets thier teams. we started the year with high hopes, and saw them fall apart. our weakest link on day 1 is now tops in baseball, having arguably the strongest bullpen going at the minute. our offense sucks, we lost posada, matsuii, giambi, damon, even arod to injuries, but we are keeping in it. melky and canoe are not doing anything od statistical value at the plate either, but we are there.
we lost wang, the winniest pitcher in baseball for the last years including santna, pedro, oswalt and beckett. hughes and kennedy pitched like they forgot how to. joba chamberlin was lost for a few weeks during his conversion and , although without a win(offense issues) joba has a remarkable satr line. he is stretching himself, but is dominating lineups.

sidney fucking ponson fell into our laps over a now false altercation at bar (he was there, but wasnt in the fight), and he is just eating up positive innings every start, going deep playing 3-4 run ball. meaning he has given us 7 innings every start and allowed 3 or 4 runs. cant ask for more for a number 5

mike mussina, who looks like whitey ford all of a sudden, was one of the better arms in baseball for the first half, being the fastest in the game to 10 wins. nothing that should be too surprising, he isnt all of a sudden pedro martinez, but he is doing his job extremely well..

we are 3 games out the wildcard and 4 out of division at the minute (there are red sox and yanks games being played).

this season is drawing me in. like never b4.

around the league notables for me.

cards-- wow, dave duncan taught a parrot to pitch. the parrot is 11-2 with a 2.1 ERA (anything more needed for a cards idea? poo holes? nah, he is good)

texas rangers-- hamilton is the obvious choice due to the story and goodwill it is generating, BUT the team doesnt move without ian kinsler who should be int he running for MVP, look it up. kid is having the type of year jose could have if jose reyes didnt have the attitude of paris hilton when she was 17.

red sox -- great team, but more question than ever considering the division now.

cubs -- lets go cubs, lets go cubs lets go cubs!!!!
    (for history's sake)

rays - wow. note to tampa bay --- culture shock of division about to hit in 3.........,2..........,1..............

    Re: AL east right now.

Eat a dick cubbies. i look forward to (hopefully) watching the wheels fall off that train come playoff time.

nl central is the toughest race in ball right now. so tough to watch. if i dont have an aneurysm by the end of the season gutting it through all these games it'll be a miracle.

your AL east summery is nice. wish i gave a shit about AL ball because that sounds like a nice one in the east. i guess i better pay more attention to the AL this year, because if the Cubs make the world series, it'll be the first time ever i will be routing for an AL team.
