cablevion/optimum online/ io digital cable and the employees

after getting the service installed in my new home in May we found out that the underground lines to my house were shit. the tech told me he would right up an order to have this fixed. after 5 months i find out today, after 4 service calls in \between, that the work order was never written up and twice the cable tech never showed up to my house. now i am on hold for 10 minutes because i ripped into the lady who picked up and tried to give me the runaround...... only to find out i have a cable tech friend of mine(no he cant work on my house, he works in a diff. area) sitting next to me feeding me my lines, trying to get a cable modem into my house and get my on demand in order.....

then the bitch has the nerve put me on hold for ten more minutes when i ask for a credit for the non existant cable modem service since may, she gets back on the line and tells me she will have to call me back and see what she can do about the refunding. THEN I say that no one will be home for awhile and she says" OH DONT WORRY, MY SHIFT ENDS AT 330(time of call 3:17) AND I WILL BE LEAVING FOR THE DAY"

FUCK YOU CABLEVISION AND ALL OF YOUR HALF ASSED EMPLOYEES.......

YET ANOTHER GOVERNMENT INSTALLED MONOPOLY THAT DOESNT DO HALF THE JOB THEY SHOULD

Yeah they're not too swift over there...

I had to switch to them from Time Warner due to NYC's fucked up Cable Laws that split the city up among 2 or 3 companies or something like that...

So the end result is that if I want cable I have to get it from Cablevision. Period.

I also hate that I *HAVE* to use Optimum Online as my ISP... why can't they just give me a cable modem, charge me for the line access and let me use my own ISP? I really don't understand that shit.

rich, call the folks over at roadrunner, they can sort you out if you can deal with DSL lagginess.

Can't you get satellite t.v. instead?

I guess I could... I'm not sure what the owner of my building would have to say about a dish attached to his wall or roof, though and I hate dealing with salespeople so I'll just stick with cablevision for now.
