Well, hypothetically speaking, what if you had heard Bedrock's remix of "The Fall" before hearing the original? I think you would jump to a similar conclusion...that's basically the purpose of a remix, to re-interpret.
And assuming you haven't done the comparison by now, Babicz actually included many of the compositional elements from the original in his remix.
