I've aired this before but to little avail. Some folks on the board deflate the issue by casting doubt on whether the issue exists or not- please don't be one of them.

Every other Kiss100 mix I download is in mono. If you don't know what mono is, it's what happens when the same thing is coming out of both speakers all the time. i.e., the opposite of stereo. It's kind of like watching TV in black and white.

I can trace the beginning of this phenomenon to the January 13th Digweed set. Here is a list of Digweed sets that I've downloaded recently and their quality:

Jan 13 - mono
Jan 20 - stereo
Jan 27 - stereo
Feb 10 - mono
Feb 24 - mono
Mar 2 - mono
Mar 3 - stereo
Mar 9 - stereo
May 5 - mono
June 1 - stereo
June 15 - mono
July 27 - mono
Aug 3 - stereo

I am surprised that on a board of many people (some of whom are producers) that are interested in music that solely exists in virtual space to be played back on speaker systems does not notice this issue and speak up about it, even in passing.

While I, like we all, appreciate that the mixes are uploaded and appreciate this service, I still want to mention this and see it resolved if it can be.

Maybe someone in the know can check who/where the stereo sets came from? Obviously something is changing between them.

i think u have issues with your sound system, i recorded this weeks show and i can safely say that it was recorded in stereo and uploaded in stereo

nope. I am a producer and I know my systems very well. can you define stereo please? Is there a difference in the channels?

Edit: This weeks show is in stereo, see above. however, others are not.

tbh no, i,ve just started doing it again last week but i can more or less garentee that they are not uploaded in mono coz if they were then there would of been a big fuss about it

ok cool- please see for yourself the mono sets in question. please also trust me as I do know what I'm talking about!

how are the sets DL'ed? streamed? maybe there's a setting in the application used for this task?

well, let's make sure we're on the same page. both speakers are working, I'm getting both speakers. It just that they're being fed the same info. A simple phase cancellation check will confirm this. In a stereo signal, there are slight differences between the channels creating acoustic space. On headphones it's immediately obvious.

I'm also confirming this against other kiss100 shows which are in stereo, not to mention other albums which are in stereo as well.
