AYE!! Same reason here.
I started buying vinyl before I had turntables. This was around 1993.
When all the techno, acid and hardhouse became a bit dull and I started going out and drinking legally I stopped dj'ing.
Then I heard that Additive track Oakenfold would hammer...
Ohhhh Isba, isba oooohhh isba isba bab ba baaa.
I was like, who's this?? My little brother who was dorming in college would come visit and would always play it.
So after finding out is was some bloke named Paul Oakenfold, I started getting into the whole EDM thing again... this was between 98-00.
I havent looked back since then!!

yeah, thats the track.. Eisbar. I have the vinyl of it.
It was just so differnet from what I had been into years before. The vocal, the bass line, and most of all, it was the first time I heard crowd reaction to a dj.
The background noise as the track played on and the new sound caught me.
Thats when I got back into it.
emo track? ehhh, dont really view it as one. I think I'll place it on my 1200 today and let that shit rotate from start to finish!Comment
