this makes no sense whatsoever. GS stands at the top BECAUSE of government intervening in the markets. Why would GS want more market competition?

Because then there can be less regulation to the products they sell and more difficult for the government and the people to understand what the hell they are selling. Also they can in theory wreck their competition with foul play on the market.The Idiots ARE Winning.
