You can't have manslaughter without laughter.
"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl." -

FAO AMERICA: Feel free to send non-steroid enhanced athletes to the Olympics any time
(but yes, its all over the media here...*no one* is happy with how we've performed thus far. we just don't fund our athletes well enough, though after this that might just change. for gods sake, cuba is kicking our ass in the medal count. we are still predicted to crack the top 20 for medals, however...)Comment

Re: Olympics
Anastasia "Nastia" Valeryevna Liukin was born on October 30, 1989 in Moscow, Russian SFSR, USSR. She is the only child of two former Soviet champion gymnasts: 1988 Summer Olympics gold medalist Valeri Liukin and 1987 event World Champion in rhythmic gymnastics, Anna Kotchneva. Her nickname Nastia is a Russian diminutive for Anastasia.
The family moved to the United States when Liukin was two and a half years old, after the breakup of the Soviet Union, and settled first in New Orleans before moving to Texas. In 1994, Valeri Liukin teamed with another former Soviet champion athlete, Evgeny Marchenko, to open the World Olympic Gymnastics Academy (WOGA) in Plano.

Re: Olympics
Well this whole Olympics has been just down right amazing.
Just finished watching Gasol and Spain get spanked by James and USA.
Bummed I missed the track session today though.
I'm thoroughly enjoying Phelp's overpowered godmode, but his ipod selection (imo) is failsauce. Hey, if it works for him, it dont matter I guess. They need [MS] to edmucate him.
ps. NBC commentators are a bust, no?(((( }-d|-__-|b-{ ))))Comment

Re: Olympics
im actually getting sick of the us media being the only one counting the medals by their total number when everyone else, including the IOC counts by # of golds. maybe they should just assign points to medals, i.e. gold 3 points, silver 2, bronze 1... that would get rid of this bsComment
