Here is my studio ATM. Imac, Pair of KRK Rokit 8's with separate Subwoofer. M-Audio Oxygen 8 for a controller, Presonus Firestudio Project for my interface, Roland GR-30 Guitar Synthesizer which is used for various things...oh and Ableton Live for the music program which you can see on the screen...a new track i'm working on.
I was looking at those KRK Rokit 8's a few weeks ago..Slightly out of my price range...But they looked solid. Looks like they can put out a decent deep bass. How are they, Jeffrey?
they are really nice. I originally put them on the foam stands they are still on but had them turned the wrong way for how I sit at the table. Once I turned them backwards, I noticed I could hear the bass and the high end a lot better. I definitely think they were worth my $$, plus i got a bit off of them because they were floor models.
i,m on my online pc which has a speck of AMD 4000+ 2 gig of ddr 1 onboard sound card and a set of sennhieser hd25's and all i used for the following track was copy of fruity loops where u can download here
the song/track what ever u want to call it has been created only using free sounds and plug ins from the internet ( that are included in the rar ) and also the sounds included with the program but also i have used one of the synths called sytrus which u have to buy from fruityloops.. minimal and mellow, its not exactly digweed or sasha or roigonal sounding but just kind of shows whats achievable with a very very basic set up.
cant say much about the mixdown because i hate doing that on headphones so it may sound out of sort on some of your speakers, the plug ins i used are included in the rar file which u will have to install in the vst plug in directory in the fruity loops folder, simple but effective in my eyes...
