last night the news broke, today it happened. chris russo has left the mike and mad dog show. 19 years of sports has happened, and mike a chirs were the original sports talk show in the US> yeah, news covered it, but they were the first pure sports show.
mike francesa will stay on, but sports and media lost a great giant here today with teh break up of the show.
this sucks. i grew up with them, my dad turned me onto them, and for all intensive pruposes, i listened to them everyday with the exception of the 2 years of my life spent in boston and the 2 summers in san juan. they bonded with the fans, they were fans. passionate, full of reporting integrity, and fiesty.
