Steve Lawler @ Home Budapest 5-25-2001

Trying to share some goods and not just be a leech. Searched for this and didn't find it, so hopefully it's not a re-post. Good old skool Lawler. I'll post some more from him if not already posted.

Don't confuse the conception "House" with the genre.

I will put these in some sort of order later. Its also got one of many tunes Lawler plays with the vocal Twisted in it. If you make a track with the words Twisted or Drums in it you guarantied Lawler will play it.

Brancaccio & Aisher - It's Gonna Be... (A Lovely Day)
              X-Press 2 - AC/DC
DJ Rolando & The Aztec Mystic - Nights of the Jaguar
              Lets get Twisted
              Simon - Free at Last
Funky Junction Vs KC Flight - Voices
              Major North - Annihilate
Chemical Brothers - It Began In Afrika
              Sasha & Emerson - Scorchio
              New Order - Blue Monday
Trisco - Music (Steve Lawler Remix)

One of these days I need to get around to making a Lawler Megathread. Haven't listened to this in a few months but don't remember caring for this one to much. Just listened to the Red Box Dublin 1-27-01 set, Again. That one is just amazing, kills me that at the end of hour 2 he says they'll broadcast the last half hour next week but have never seen or heard it.

Its a shame there are no Lawler sets from Home in London, i was a regular down there in 1999/2000

I actually liked this one probably because it has Christian Hornbostel - Back To The Music and a weird version of Havana - Ethnic Prayer.

I fucking love the vocal on Back To The Music

I wasn't impressed with part1. Will give pt2 a listen. I've noticed that Lawler is kinda hit or miss & no in-between, IMO. Love his tribal mixes though.
