Bobby Deep – Aftertouch
A. Original Mix
B. Peter Sajche Remix
C. Randall Jones Edit
D. Tigerhook Remix
Release date: OUT NOW (beatport excl. pre-release)
Label: Mynt Music 1207
Release Info:
Mpampis Vasilos, better known as Bobby Deep, hails from Lamia, Greece and has released in the past on labels such as No Smoking Records, Elite and Phat Beat. His typical progressive house now comes out on Randall Jones’ Mynt Music with a techy stormer called “Aftertouch”.
The original version of “Aftertouch” builds heavily around an almost oldskool ‘rave’ sounding synth stab while in the background a deep string takes the role of a fog horn. Combined with smooth proggy percussion and bass this one is sure to appeal to prog lovers who need a bit of extra energy in their sets.
The Peter Sajche remix takes a more funky and electric housy route. Having replaced the original synth by a string, things get bouncier throughout. Also the adding of a Balkan Beat-like trumpet in this version makes “Aftertouch” a very fun party track to play.
Mynt Music’s founder Randall Jones himself takes care of the edit by adding spoken vocals to the original. The track itself is pretty much left the same, but the added vocals make things more energetic or playable for vocal lovers.
Last up is the Tigerhook remix which also uses the vocals from the Randall Jones edit, but also takes a way deeper route with the original. Deep, dark progressive house with loads of fx and extra melodies going on.
DJ Support:
Federico Epis: thanks a lot !, Peter Sajche for me.
Flash Brothers: Peter Sajche did nice tech house mix.
Eelke Kleijn: Prefer the Tigerhook mix!
Chloe Harris: tigerhook mix for the win! awesome beats and groove. like that bass! will play it
Ben Brown: Digging Peter's Mix the most out of the group.
Samer: Tigerhook Remix is best here. I give this EP 7/10. Nice job as usual from your label and artists!
Matt Rowan: I like the Tigerhook mix - more quality for him as always.
Darin Epsilon: Peter Sajche did a nice job remixing. This seems like proper dancefloor funk to get the crowd moving. Really takes the best elements from the original and kicks it up a notch.
