so after 12 years of being a radiohead fan, i *finally* saw them live for the first time at Thunderbird Stadium in Vancouver on Tuesday evening. and they did not disappoint.
The setlist was varied, covering so many fantastic songs. I really couldn't have asked for more. The whole band was on, and hearing them in an outdoor venue meant the soundquality was brilliant.

When they played talk show host i nearly shat my pants. oh and it was also great to hear exit music live, never expected to get that gem.
The other thing I have to mention about the show were the lights. They have to be second only to a tool show (any of you who've seen a tool show will know what i mean). Just mesmerizing. At several points i had to snap out of it to pay attention to the band/music.
here are some vids i've found on youtube.
this gives you an idea of the lights...

the last song they played, tom gave the audience a choice between idioteque and paranoid android. The fans overwhelmingly chose paranoid android (I prefer idioteque myself), which turned out to be a perfect song to close with. It had been raining all night, and the last lines of the song came in with Thom singing "rain down, c'mon rain down, rain down on me." Could not have asked for a more appropriate end to an incredible evening.

I am seriously wanting to see them again soon. This only wet my appetite. I highly recommend anyone who gets the chance to see them on their west coast swing, DO SO. you won't regret it, even if you're not a big radiohead fan.
