played for a while. i was er... the catcher. always. the one position that you could boss the pitcher around. it's probably the only fun position one could have (next to DH)
you could put an Emfire release on for 2 minutes and you would be a sleep before it finishes - Chunky
it's RA. they'd blow their load all over some stupid 20 minute loop of a snare if it had a quirky flange setting. - Tiddles
i play in spring and fall leagues. fall ball is more competivie, but i stay away from the hardcore competition leagues. those guys lose the ability to have fun because they want to compete to tell themselves how good they are.
your life is an occasion, rise to it.

i played it the first time i visited canada with my cousin who then was playing stick ball ? ( u place it on a rubber tube ) instantly thought it was brilliant so bought a bat a ball and a mitten, some one stole it when i brought it over...typical scotland
I played from age 5 - 16, starting with tee-ball, but moved to Lacrosse once I got into highschool as well as CREW. Lacrosse is super fun and I was a captain in highschool and college...baseball was alot of fun too, i pitched, played center and short stop. The movie "Parenthood" with Steve Martin was filmed at the ballpark I grew playing on.
used to play it a while back when i could ( surprising for a scot i know )
hated the 3 strikes rule though, always got to the third strike and then just said to myself GTF
any of u guys like a game of that ?
Don't play baseball, but do play in a co-ed softball league during the summer. Very much for the camaraderie and beer-drinking than the competition or even the sport, though.

Same here... every week we've got a game. Our team name is "Beer Money"... Definitely not as competitive as when I used to play hard ball, but just as fun!
Played up until high school, but i fucked up my sholder and decided to throw in the towel. Baseball can be a great sport, fundamentally the game fosters a lot of mechanics, patience and mental poise.
Want to join a softball league sometime forsure, or hopefully even a wood bat league/travelling team.
