LOL... I've run into many Brits in Spain and they were lovely; however some of them were not so nice to ze Germans & the french.

Basically brits fall into two categories ... the cultured ones (about 20%) and the ones with th small island/us against the world/we used to have an empire and hate johnny foreigner types (80%).

The latter are generally very very working class, and only go abroad because the weather back home is always crap ! Because we are worked so hard in th UK the annual holiday is a release when people behaviourally "anything goes".
