    countdown to hillary

this... this will be at least funny, at worst disatrous. i honestly can see this cunt blowing off any pre-made agreements and speeches once she sees the cameras, and just stumping for herself, making a scene, all on live TV. i really can. it would be the funniest TV since that guy died on MASH.

shit, just TODAY bill clinton threw a nasty shot at obama and his inability to deliver the goods. i can her demanding a full open roll call and delegate vote right there on the floor and telling her supporters to come down and see that she gets one last shot.

    tonight, should be great TV.

I wouldn't count her out of this until someone else is actually elected.

i love it. watching a train wreck, it really is. i had a lot of hope for Obama but now not anymore. fucking Clintons couldn't shut up, still tramping around stinking up the place, their diehard supporters totally ignorant of the party dissolution they've created. and McCain sits back and watches the whole thing, smiling.

I wonder who McCain's VP will be. To be honest it could be anyone, the Republicans will still win. It's so obvious now.

      fucking Democrats.

^Agreed. Had a little bit of everything. So well rounded. Kudos to her speech writer and to her for selling it on the delivery (which i've never really liked from her.) lol @ the Bush and McCain in the twin cities bit. The Harriet Tubman part was powerful. Quite the full speed ahead addition to the misty eyed heartfelt speech from Michelle last night. This was definitely the first time i've heard anyone really go at the republicans in this DNC. Nice. Rest of the evening before Hillary's speech was a fking snore tho, wow.

dude, she was very self-deprecative. She was making fun of her crying, and such. man, what a fucking money speech.

but i was also under the impression that she was trying to serve her placehold in the party, instead of ruin it, so as to keep the momentum she built up for her political machine and give it a rest for 8 years and then start it back up.

^definitely. she had no other choice but to sell it for barack. how convincing it was going to be, was my only question. everyone knows she's going to run again. any weakness in her part in her delivery would have been devastating to her future hopes in the party. all things considered, given the past and taking into account the future, i thought she did a fantastic job.

It was good, if robotic. I'm glad Biden is the VP pick instead of her. Compared to everything else from her though, it was a phenomenal speech.

You can't have manslaughter without laughter.

"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."
