it's not about how much stuff you throw at it. at a certain point you can dissect the music so much and rearrange it enough times that eventually it loses something, and that's exactly what i hear when i go listen to hawtin live these days. so you're right, someone with two turntables, like baby ford for example, can't DO exactly what rich is doing with two turntables, but he's doing way more with lot less imo.

does that guy bodzin ever play actual beats for more than 40 seconds at a time... see... that's where i kinda fell away from sasha, and why i never really loved zabeila live, when it became more about the gear and what the gear could do as opposed tyo what the music could do.

                but alas,

check out this great video of lemur, this one isnt just a sampler of its abilities, but a highlight of what can be done on the fly with a 4/4 beat. the second half really shines in a live setting.

I got ya Jenks. I totally understand where your coming from bro. Yeah I know, Hawtin gets tracks, and then spends his trips in between places cutting up the tracks. But that is one of the things that makes Richie, Richie. He's playing stuff you just CAN'T get anywhere. Kinda like back in 00-02 before the digital bump that made all these tracks available to everyone. No longer does the big dj's have tracks you can't find anywhere.

Those Lemurs are SICK!! There is so much cool shit you can do with them. And you DON'T have to be a programmer to use it. There is templates you can find through the jazzmutant site that can do all kinds of things. And it works great with Logic and Ableton.
