McCain's pick of Palin was definitely a surprise. My first thought is who is this woman? My second thought is that no matter who wins in November, we will have either our first black president or our first women vp.
Is she qualified for the job though? I had never heard of her, but I'm willing to listen and give her a chance. She is the governor of Alaska and governors seem to translate well to executive federal positions.
I ask the same question of Obama. Is he qualified to lead? I'm not sure either. McCain is definitely ready to lead, but his vision may not be right for the future.
Most importantly, Palin as the Republican nominee shook things up for the Democrats and women voters. Democrats now have to re-think their strategies for the election. And if she is qualified, women will have a tougher decision who to vote for.

Somewhat agreed, BUT what if she turns out to be qualified. We're just learning about her now. Let's give her sometime to find out about her.
You are correct that we do not know all the details of her qualifications. What we do know so far is that she is under investigation in her own state. For trying to get her exbrother-in-law fired during the divorce from her sister. This shows WAY too much emotion. In fact verifies the reasons many do not vote for women. Looking at McCains short list for VP I think this is a dumb move.
and lets not forget that with the rise of russia and china, that PTA experience is going to be so key, and i think i heard something about her brother being the snowmobile champion too??? sold!!

For me, it was one of the best political speeches I've ever seen. I really like how it was less flowery and more forceful. When he shouted "ENOUGH" towards the beginning of the speech, it pretty much summed up my thoughts about the past 8 years.
and considering a ranking board member at a major NY bank is on tape saying "if the nigger wins, we're gonna chaneg the market big time".....
wall street is doing its best to dupe investors for the next 4 months. they are shitting thier pants and ready to tank it if barak wins.... which is so unsettling.....

For me, it was one of the best political speeches I've ever seen. I really like how it was less flowery and more forceful. When he shouted "ENOUGH" towards the beginning of the speech, it pretty much summed up my thoughts about the past 8 years.
the point i have been making is... the last 8 years... i blame congress moreso (therefore the democrats, they have control), in that they couldnt do anything, yet alone the one thing 95% of the world wants and 99% of this country...
