+1 for Jenks. Lighten the fuck up sightless.http://www.myspace.com/mjdubmusic
You can't have manslaughter without laughter.
"Son," he said without preamble, "never trust a man who doesn't drink because he's probably a self-righteous sort, a man who thinks he knows right from wrong all the time. Some of them are good men, but in the name of goodness, they cause most of the suffering in the world. They're the judges, the meddlers. And, son, never trust a man who drinks but refuses to get drunk. They're usually afraid of something deep down inside, either that they're a coward or a fool or mean and violent. You can't trust a man who's afraid of himself. But sometimes, son, you can trust a man who occasionally kneels before a toilet. The chances are that he is learning something about humility and his natural human foolishness, about how to survive himself. It's damned hard for a man to take himself too seriously when he's heaving his guts into a dirty toilet bowl."Comment

You said it. I'd rather have an empty glass with a chance of having it filled with fine wine than being assured of having half a glass of steaming shit.http://www.myspace.com/mjdubmusic

Re: am i the only one unsettled ?
and what makes you think Mccains gonna deliver??
this is something i dont get, i mean, yea, you might like a candidate, and you might like his ideas, but what assures you that hes gonna comply with every campaign promise he has done?? by the same token, what makes you think the other candidate is gonna be unable to meet some of the promises hes done??
i truly think that based on what the candidates have promised at this point, Obama would be the one with the more chances to make those things happen, given that he will have a democratic congress behind him, now i really dont think hes gonna change the world, but if you think a bit about it, Mccain would be the same that we have at this point, congress bringing up new things and the president vetoing them all of the time...:: listen :: react ::..

1. i cant lighten up. i have too much money on the line these days with biusiness and personal things, particularly things that revolve around getting state and federal approval......
2. i quit.
im gonna stop being pessimistic, you all know im gonna be here in two years acting like a "toldya so brat".. so from now on, i will be asking questions in a way that demand intelligent answers from toasty and his fellow obama fans about how things will hopefully happen. sorry, but mccain only will win if the christian religion is really true (no) and god intervenes.
toasty, get ready to waste time on laying out answers.
im done, i concede, this place has gotten to idiocracy levels before we realzed it.
i quit. enjoy it jenks, ciz now you get the "what did you play" PM's again.

Re: am i the only one unsettled ?
fuck it, then let's go with the magician thats going to sell the illusion the best to the public. hey, regardless of policy, obama gives americans, and the world, confidence, wether false or not. he can sell. the man is a born leader, and it's that IT that people follow. confidence is an amazing thing brother, and it's been missing big time in this country for 8 fucking years. set policy aside again, because that's not what we're talking about- Obama makes people feel good about America again, and i'm very excited to see what will happen when he's president. Call it a sociological experiment. We only need to get 3% of the population to have some renewed confidence. 3% critical mass is all it takes to change anything, it's fking science man. So..I'll take my chances with the new guy. I already know how the next 4 years would go if McCain is elected, and i'm bored. let's ratchet this country up a little bit.
Mccain, in my eyes represents more of the same. Obama is marketing change and seems to be doing a decent job of it. Of course, I know that he is still another politician and am not setting my expectations too high.
My main reason for leaning towards Obama is the hope he instills in people (and because he doesen't fly around in a French plane while running for President and get in the way of a 35 billion dollar defense contract, which may now end up going to the French as well). I also realize that we have some serious issues that need to be dealt with which put us in our current economic state (credit - individual and national debts, dependence on oil, etc) but if everything else is going to stay the same, we can only hope that renewed confidence can help turn things around."They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security." -Benjamin FranklinComment
