anthony pappa @ destiny orlando ****REVIEW****

he only played alittle over two hours but it was the SICKest shit i've heard in a while
mixing was flawless track selection was insanely wAcKeD

he dropped ....ladytron sasha's remix, Gianluca Motta - London (Pig & Dan Remix) and guy j geko Original and remute remix Last TRACK. and a few other bombs i can't remember right now.

haven't seen pappa live in over 5 years him and john debo were hanging out before he came on....my friend knows debo and said whats up to him and pappa came over as well to say hey. ONE OF THE NICEST DJ'S

Great night for orlando only about 300 peeps tops

    anyone know this remix???????????????????????

pappa is the man. they guy has got to be one of the top djs as far as technical ability and mixing is concerned. Not to many in his league.

for some odd reason it seems he never gets the credit he deserves. has always flown under the radar

        thanks for the videos!!

Agree on the technical thing - I think he's the best in the world at mixing.

However, I have found him so hit and miss over the past few years. I purchased a copy of Moments and I was pretty underwhelmed by it to be honest. Maybe it sounds good on a system, but I just couldn't get into half of it.

I agree with you on Moments, rather uneventful for me, live he's a completely different Dj, his older releases were all solid, some of his recent tech-house sets from his Moments Show on Proton Radio I like.

1st time I heard him was back in 1997 when he was guest on Triple J Mixup, that old Platipus sound was awesome back in the day.

Would the misses have been longer sets??
I have a theory that different Djs have a certain length of set that really suits them. With Pappa I think it's a 2-3 hour set . He's absolutely amazing in that time frame, but if he is doing longer sets he throws in stuff that just doesn't flow. His Darkbeat mix here is incredible but the best is definitely the first three hours I have seen him about six times [ I'm losing track!] and the best sets were the shorter ones.

The only cd I have is nubreed which I love

we got there at 12ish and hardly anyone was there.....the opening dj was playing really hard, we were like wtf. but once 1am came around more people showed up and pappa came on.

so i guess he didn't want to play in an empty club.
