Its been too long since I've seen Hawtin....the last time I think was WMC 2007 - it was Adam Beyer, Hawtin, and some other big techno names. Awesome night/morning of intense music!

He needs to make a DC trip again.

I love how all you guys think this is great and in other threads you compare it to being a "Software DJ"? what is it because Hawtin is doing this its considered to be ok or awesome??

Difference being this guy rocks on decks or software, and he's using the technology to push what he does further, like Sasha and his Ableton or Zabiela and Phil K and their CDJs. As opposed to a lot of noob software DJs who (I'm assuming) cop flak for not even knowing how to beat match and relies on the machine to do it so they just line up 10s of intro and outro over each other.

Yes. It's not about what hardware and software you have, its how you use it. Hawtin and many others are pushing the envelope. IMO its not djing anymore, it's producing/performing live...instead of just playing tunes, the sounds and tracks are more instruments themselves rather than songs just being played.

hopefully traktor will be my next purshase, i own Torq right now and just based on effects, add ons and shit like that, traktor blows the shit out of every other djing software.
