This is the End...... no really it is this time

Think about the most basic functions of a nightclub when planning its layout. A nightclub should have a wide range of features. Because a nightclub is a place where people go to meet and enjoy, all of the elements in the nightclub's design should consider this. The following ideas will come in handy if you want to start your nightclub.

    Goodbye Baby

For every beginning there has to be an end.

The End has announced that the club will be closing those legendary metal doors for good in January 2009. The End & AKA will be closing in style, giving the venues the send off they deserve, and the chance for the different DJs and nights to say goodbye. We will be open as normal through autumn, with September, October and November's parties rocking as usual. The farewell begins with The End's 13th birthday on December 6th, with long-time favourite Sven Vath headlining. There will follow a series of closing parties featuring The End’s closest DJs and promoters, and then a grand closing weekend on January 23rd and 24th. We talk to The End’s directors, Layo and Zoe Paskin, to tell us about the end of The End.

....Freak in the morning, Freak in the evening, aint no other Freak like me thats breathing....

Another one bites the dust.... London clubland has been decimated over the last year. A shame.

It's always sad to hear about the closing of a legendary club! Boo.
Awww...I didn't mean A holes, as in "A holes"...I meant it like, as in, my friends....

Boo indeed. The End had the best atmosphere of any off the bigger clubs in London imo. Will be sadly missed.

Good time to open a club in London though...anyone got a spare 500k knocking about?

London, seems like Clubland in general has been decimated this year.

I was sitting around talking with Mr. C at Sunday School all afternoon and he didn't mention anything about his club closing! This is a complete shock...

                    Strange.

Turnmills and The Cross have gone ... now they open Matter which seems quite far out of the centre. Wonder if it will last longer than Home !

The difficulty is having (a) consistently good line ups (b) decent residents (that stay and build up a following), and (c) getting the cubbers in regularly when many can't afford those big nights out.

                    3 x Bedrocks a year and 1 x Sasha visit per annum won't keep you open over 12-months !

Darren Hughes thought he'd struck gold with Home after he'd been running Cream to lock-outs every week ... a good track record doesn't always guarantee success.

So white-middle class Americans have been told by their Television sets to be fearful of:

                            1. Mexicans/Latinos from the South bringing drugs and killings n' shit.
                            2. African Americans cause mos def they are raging a race war and want to occupy America like how the plebs occupied Wall St.
                            3. Iranians/Afghans/Any one of middle eastern origin to be quite frank, cause you know Islam...
                            4. North Koreans/Chinese cause you know everything...
