Interesting move for Google. The buzz last year was all about Web OS or moving away from the desktop to the internet with that cloud computing stuff, or bringing the internet to the desktop with Adobe AIR or MS Silverlight, and Google circumvented all that by creating a simple, no frills browser to hold everything, including your web surfing AND internet apps.

I think they're releasing Chrome to move into the mobile market rather than the desktop market. Firefox on its own is pretty no-frills, but I use FF because the extensions lets me customise features I need. I don't see Chrome replacing that.

But will definitely look into Chrome if I have an iPhone or for kiosk purposes.

The timing was right, i just uninstalled it last friday.
I couldnt make myself enjoy Chrome not for a bit.

Weird, 'Mac' looking browser, with complicated layout, i didnt notice any speed limits broken, either, and some pages werent as practical (have to use mouse), if compared to FF.

i had that odd privilege to localize a part of it, so i had to install it, but few days later, it was already mentioned online.

Even my g/f didnt like it... hehe

Supposedly it was the template EULA that Google uses for all their apps, but then they realized their stupidity and changed it for Chrome. That doesn't justify them having such a fucked-up EULA for their other apps though.

Google Browser

Google has a new free browser, Google Chrome. Has anyone tried it? I don't know why I don't feel like installing it yet , I see the images and It makes me think of duplo bricks (the bigger version of lego, for noob kids).
