omfg obama on cnn

[shosh]

talking about palin's experience he used the campaign he's been running as an example of executive experience, said thats more than palin being a mayor of wasilla... (btw she was governor)

his campaign? ROFL... yeah naming wright as an adviser, getting money from rezko, shit with ayers, acorn, etc

Re: omfg obama on cnn

palin being a mayor of wasilla... (btw she was governor)

can you be governor of a town??

Re: omfg obama on cnn

you know what i meant

when he was referring to her experience he kept mentioning that she was a mayor, left the fact that she was a governor out...

once again, he quoted running his campaign as his experience!!! lol

Re: omfg obama on cnn

BTW, this was Palin's place of employment up until less than 2 years ago:

Not a joke. From this, to VP. Quite a meteoric rise.

Jesus Harold Christ in a chicken basket.

Trumpeting about Palin's "experience" officially disqualifies you from harping on Obama for a lack of experience. You cannot honestly simultaneously think that Obama is dangerously unqualified, but that Palin is ready to lead from Day 1. It's beyond hypocritical.

And the "Obama hasn't done shit except vote present" is just factually incorrect. Not going to go into it yet again, but I can't let that go unchallenged.

Seriously, though, let's step out of the ethers here for a moment and talk about the real world. Wasilla is a suburb of Anchorage. I used to do defense work for some St. Louis suburbs and have met the mayors of many burbs that are much larger than Wasilla, and although they are great people, the idea of one of them being handed the reigns of the country in two years is terrifying to me. Mayor of Wasilla is not a big job, it's just not. There are more people within one square block of my desk than live in the whole city. To go from that to governor is remarkable and clearly, she's a rising star in the party, but she's the wrong person for this job at this time.

Honestly, it wouldn't even be that terrible a pick if McCain's health and age weren't such a concern -- the odds of a 72 year old making it to 80 are around 33%, and that doesn't take into account his significant medical history. The fact that he picked someone who clearly isn't ready to go out of the gate and who he clearly didn't screen says a lot about the transparently political nature of his pick. He makes a snap decision to tap someone who isn't ready and who is currently torpedoing his campaign with her own scandals, and we're supposed to trust him to run the show? That's Bush-esque in its short-sightedness.

Re: omfg obama on cnn

shosh, i hate obama, yes, but because of how he voted, you really need to go

Actually stumbled upon this article after I posted this:

Sums up my concerns about what this pick says about McCain nicely.

brb reading...

still toasty, for obama to claim that he has experience because he has been running his campaign is more full of shit than the new orleans sewers. and he's comparing that to her being a mayor, where he could compare it with her being a governor. especially when he has obviously made some very bad decisions in that campaign (which i enumerated earlier and have said many times that their importance has been diminshed and should be given more consideration)

running campaign >>>> governor?

Re: omfg obama on cnn

yeah he has false promises out the yazoo, but... comon.mccain? why not let bush declare martial law, cancel elections, and send the US armed forces through every country with vital resources?

He's still only one of two people currently running a presidential campaign so he's doing something right.

toasty, i read that and tbh i didnt see anything new from what it's been hammered everywhere since wednesday. as far as troopergate goes, more stuff comes out: http://online.wsj.com/public/article...300293917.html

and as far as mccain picking her goes, try reading this too, it's in a different light... http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122005082292884815.html

so running a campaign is executive experience akin to being a president? dont get me wrong nothing compares to being a president, but running a town (as insignificant as it may be), the alaska oil and gas commission, and being a governor is more executive experience than what obama has done. or is running a campaign that much better?
