    Problems With Firefox 3

I just updated to the new version and I'm having some problems with the location bar.

I have a few sites that I visit regularly (uni, news, email etc) that I like to have entered in the location bar so I can click on the drop down arrow to bring up the list and easily go to the site. I just updated to the latest version I found that the pull down location bar was full of bookmarks and other pages that I had just visited.

I went to the firefox website to find out how to change this feature (they call it the smart location bar) changed a few settings and now firefox won't remember anything that I type in the location bar! I had another look around the site and they suggest an add-on (hide unvisited 3) to get around this problem, but it seems even this only keeps bookmarks out of the 'smart bar' if you delete them from your history after visiting the page! Ridiculous!

I liked how I had things set up earlier (even got a little ocd about having things in order of relevence ) so this has really pissed me off. Does anyone know a way to fix this?
