There is a free parking lot that I use when I hit this area of Hollywood (avalon, cinespace, king king, vanguard). The lot is underneath the Borders at Vine and Sunset and free when you leave after the attendant has left for the night. It is 6 blocks from Vanguard but only 2 blocks to Avalon (where I will be heading if i am still awake after 4am). You need to go west on sunset past Borders then turn right (north) on Morningside Ct. (a reall small one way alley) to enter the lot under the store.

It's a nice place... we're drinking @ home (5 min from Vanguard) then cabbing it to the venue.
