Dear MCast listeners,
At long last, it’s time once again for another offering from the depths of the Deep Intuition record vaults. As usual, we at the office have gone to great lengths to put together some solid tunes for your listening enjoyment. Why do we insist on sweating out twenty tracks within the time limit of a standard 80-minute listening CD, when we could just take it easy and wing half as many at you in an hour? For one, because we can and we like to. We don’t get excited by the prospect of spending a minute matching the beats before we rewind and finally do it live at the end of the track; we prefer to do it all on the fly in 5-10 seconds, oftentimes while the channel is live and the last record is still on underneath. For another, because we are ruthless perfectionists and will yield nothing to our vision of a perfect balance between track selection, set composition, tension, musicality, transitional flow, and technical mixing aptitude. We oftentimes start a transition in the middle of the record and start to mix out within a minute. You can find all the tracks and play them more or less end to end yourself. We want to create something new and complex.
And the result, hopefully, is something that pays dividends to you, the esteemed listener. We would advise you to exercise patience and not to reserve any assumptions based on just one small part that you may hear, be it at the beginning or elsewhere. And we would also note that if you don’t turn it up and get down to that Paco Osuna track around the 57 minute mark, then you just don’t have a funky bone in your body.
So there you have it. Go ahead. Put that shit in your pipe and smoke it.
