watching a show on nova on how einstein came up with this. brilliant how 3 scientists were laying the bricks on this path that he walked on. e=mc2 is basically energy and mass, connected at the square speed of light. Another brilliant thing I learnt from the show is that light is nothing but electricity and magnetism, which are interwoven like a braid (as electricity move forward in a cable, it creates a little magnetism and as magnetism is propelled along the cable, it creates an electric charge), together traveling at 670 million miles per hour (the speed of light), this results in the creation of light (as proven by james maxwell, under the learnings of michael faraday). Light... is essentially an electromagnetic wave travelling at 670 million miles per hour. How fucking brilliant is that.
Einstein truly said it right, what he learnt about the atomic world, was all thanks to sitting on the shoulders of giants.
LHC, you better have something incredibly ingenious to present.
