Re: should they suspend the campaigning?

McCain doesn't know shit about the economy, yet he wants to go back and work on it?

Nicely timed for him, since he's been getting clobbered in the polls the last two weeks.

But what can you (obama) really say at this point? Say no, and you're attacking his leadership because when the country is in crisis he wants to be in the trenches (regardless of wether not he can do anything or understands anything about it) Say yes, and McCain has led the charge and you're following his lead. I think it's strictly a political move, and a nice one at that.

Fine, postpone the debate, but the election should not get postponed. Nov 4th its on.

Really, what are Obama and McCain going to do to help besides try to play up their leadership and speak loudly using big words and try to move election chess pieces? It's all nonsense if you ask me.

        dont know myself....

this, in no way, is going to fix the problems with our financial markets. there is no one easy fix, they just keep delaying the bigger problem imo.

but, on the other hand, congress and etc, should take a bigger and more in depth look into this proposed bailout and make sure that it has good intentions.

last time we had bush ordering people to pass a bill overnight was the patriot act, and look how bright of a gem that turned out to be =\

this isn't about governing, this is about politics. so was his picking of Palin. He could care less how things turn out so long as he gets elected.

such a transparent political move. and the campaigns won't stop, even if they say they will. give me a break.

John McCain's request to delay campaigning and this week's debate is:

An effort to help the economy 27% 6764
                  A political gimmick 69% 17279

Re: should they suspend the campaigning?

obvious political maneuver. and when you look at this is flies in the face of any cease-fire agreements between the campaigns:

Re: should they suspend the campaigning?

being that McCain is the least present member of the senate for votes, and that he believes the fundamentals of the economy are fine, and that he's taken a private discussion public for his own potential benefit, and that suggesting bringing the campaigns to capital hill won't politicize anything....

....one has to wonder: has this guy lost it completely?

which is why i discounted him at 10% of the vote, yet, american stupidity threw him back in...... god i pray barr pulls a rabbit out of a hat in this vote. i honestly cannot fathom how he is even reotely in this race. i mean, obama should have like 80% by now. and he is a story teller on teh lines of tolkein. we really need to disallow voting for everyone except people with collegiate degrees in a science, history or mathematics feild....

There should be a headline "Republicans are Constant Liars"

and underneath it also "So are Democrats"
