heres fairness: that douchebag cop deserved to be fired, palin didnt break any laws, there is no punishment.

obama: the allegations that he was friends (of course hes not anymore as it isnt beneficial to him anymore) with wright, ayers, rezko, or that he went to iraq and told them to not make any deal until he becomes president are all real. they are all scums who have been influential in his life. all those, need to be in jail, including obama (for trying to negotiate something in the nations name when he had/has no power)

The report found that she abused her power in violation of 39.52.110(a) of the Alaska Executive Branch Ethics Act. Not sure how much more black and white you can make it.

What I find hilarious is the extent and force that they pursued getting this guy fired, as if he was the devil himself. How fucking amateur. She might not have 'broken any laws', but she looks like she almost went as far as calling up the wasilla mafia for this.

We all know that if it had been a Democrat who had fired that "douchebag cop" in the exact same way, you'd be typing up posts complaining about big government overstepping its bounds, about how criminal anything with a "D" is, blah blah...

And I agree with you that some of Obama's connections have been questionable and unfortunate...but you NEVER even so much as hint at any of McCain's questionable connections.

Republican = always good. Democrat = always bad. I can predict with 100% accuracy what you'll say before I even read it.

You know the funny thing about this? It doesn't matter. When Palin was first announced as the running mate, this was supposed to be a big deal. Since then, she's given us so many other reasons to conclude that she's not fit to be VP, I don't think this even makes the short list.

1. i didnt say she didnt do anything wrong. i stated she didnt break any laws. i also stated that fuckwit of a cop should have been fired.
2. why isnt there an investigation into obama's support of rezko? he wrote letter supporting his projects that were out of his district. that ensured that rezko got the bids he was looking for.

Go to any fact-checking site and run a search on Rezko. Fact is, there have been lots of investigations into this, and not a one has turned up anything worth getting excited about. The fact that you evidently can't let it drop doesn't imbue the "story" with any sort of heightened relevance.

Even Obama has called his association with Rezko "boneheaded," but it doesn't follow that there's anything more here than has already been reported. It's all pretty much out there, and I suspect that you're less interested in fact-gathering and more interested in slandering Obama by raising the question...

1. Irrespective of whether you're for or against the panel conclusion, you're just flat out missing the freaking point. No one is disputing whether the guy was a loser who deserved to be fired or whether Palin had the authority to make such a decision - it was how she did it. She reportedly allowed her husband to basically strong-arm employees into the firing and enabled retaliation against people who didn't agree with her. That's basically what they concluded. There is an ethical and an unethical way to fire someone.

2. Irrespective of whether you're for or against the panel findings, there is now lots of evidence came up from this that her husband was a regular at her office and that he attended Cabinet meetings that were supposed to be closed to the public. He was also in the loop on a lot of state-level correspondence to which he should not have had access.

3. I presume I don't have to point out to you that it was an independent, bipartisan panel started in a Legislature controlled by her own party...

4. And yes, as Toasty pointed out, the panel concluded that she did actually break a law.


But I'll stop now. You probably don't have time to be bothered with evidence and facts and stuff like that. After all, she's a Republican.
