So I just my mind mind after a while....i 've been djin for the last 3 months with cdjs (not mine so no traktor scratch for me) but i think i can get a lot more of control with traktor. What kind of midi controller do you recommend me, i was checking out the M-audio torq xponent (i ve read in torq and traktor forums and apparently is now fully supported by traktor) Im planning to mix in my house with friends in small parties, nothing big (dont have the time). Also do i need to get a mixer with that, i think the torq xponent doesnt need one. Any other controller in your minds? Also my budget is around 700$. Thanks in advance guys.

Re: Going digital
I forgot, already have a laptop dual core 2ghz,2gb ram, no problem there. Do i need a external soundcard with 2 outputs or the xponent midi controller does the job . No fancy things for me, Im starting so i just want to really learn about track selection, effects, beatmatching (well traktor does that job i think), so i would use that time to focus into other things..just like richie said..haha.Last edited by raoul; October 16, 2008, 01:20:25 AM.filthy boy -

Re: Going digital
screw that Vestax shit...you want good controllers, I highly reccommend getting the A&H 1:d
you can buy two of them for the $700 you have and you'll have ten times the controlling of the vestax machine. Just check out what Hawtin does with them here...
They are absolutely amazing for controlling. Been thinking of getting some for me, but it might look funny me dragging an imac to my gig's.Comment

Re: Going digital
and a dj is only as good as their equipment too. I know V makes some good mixers. But when It comes to controllers I really don't think it gets much better than the 1d for low cost and high creativity.Comment

Re: Going digital
I have used the VCI 100 with traktor and to be honest I thought it was much better than all the rest I have tried as for 1d I really cant say as I haven't used it. . .
But for anyone beginning the VCI will be more than enough IMOThe Idiots ARE Winning.
