    Philadelphia SUCKS.

It's not NY and is in actuality a 2 hour door to door trek minimum.

Figures you would say it sucks. I'm sure you'd probably say it sucks anywhere except NYC. LOL.

No. I like a lot of other places in this country and the world.

Philadelphia is not one of them.

Don't act like you know me.

I've never ever heard anyone say anything good about living or visiting philadelphia.. maybe their cheese steaks are good, but if a sandwich is your claim to fame, thats pretty sad lol

Re: Giving serious thought to moving to NYC

Philly is the bomb. Don't listen to these jackasses. I've been living in that city every weekend and most weekdays for the last year or so. Prices are a lot cheaper than NYC, if that helps to know.

I'm not saying philla and nyc are comparable; they aren't. but philly doesn't suck.

i would avoid living in jersey if at all possible, unless you make a sizeable amount of cash. if anything makes philly suck, its all the southern jersey douche's that walk over the bridge every so often.

me? I think philly, being situated between DC and NYC, is perfect. I think I'd prefer to travel to NYC once every other weekend than live there tbh. If I lived there, I'd ALWAYS be let down by any other place I'd move to (perhaps, except HK). If i were to go to NYC, i'd do it knowing I wouldn't move anywhere else ever again.

Btw, philly housing is, so i've read, down a bit; tons of apartments opened up and they're having trouble selling...so they're renting at reduced prices.

From what I have been seeing, housing is down all over the country. Including NY. There were plenty of nice looking apartments on craigslist, and that's definitely not all that there is available. Just gotta get there and start looking around, ask all my friends who live there that have been there for me.

curious, do they still throw those huge warehouse raves? i heard they were quite legendary. i'd move to the city of brotherly love just for the ice cream alone!
