    BBC Essential Mix Vote

Vote from the short list of mixes on bbc radio 1's website.

    Switch
    Dave Seaman
    Scratch Perverts
    James Zabiela
    Desyn Masiello
Pete Tong and Sander from Ultrafest Miami
    Bugz in the Attic
    Sasha and Digweed at Renaissance
    Above and Beyond
Cuban Brothers and Rob Da Bank

The Cuban Brothers was hilarious... Desyn was blinding...

But I think for it's going to be Sasha and Digweed at Wild in the Country

There's a 1 hour online stream with clips from each mix on that page.

It's a toss up between Zabiela and Masiello. Leaning toward the latter right now.
        Will work for Sasha sets

I'm listening to the Desyn mix right now to see what all the hype is....I have to say it's pretty good. Has a new wicked new wave feel to it.

Although i'm not a fan of hip-hop, you gotta give props to the Scratch Perverts. Their mixing skills is sick....

                        6 turntables, 3 dj's...going through about 50-60 tracks in 2 hours...all spinning at the same time....SICK!

Sasha and Digweed at Renaissance for me, but if the essential from danny howells at homelands was there, my vote would go for it.

I don't see how live sets can be included - surely the poll is all about a specially commissioned mix. On the basis JZ should romp it !

This release was mastered direct from vinyl at the request of the DJ and as such features natural sound characteristics of this medium such as record surface noise.
