You reap what you sow. You defend ignorance for 8 years, you allow ignorance to breed. The ideals of conservatism have given way to hate, fear, irrationalism, emotionalism, pragmatism, anti-intellectualism, racism...all of the worse things about man himself.

^ nah, not arrested. I would say being arrested for vocalizing your beliefs is against the ideals of a free society. As voltaire once said, I may disagree strongly with what you say, but I'll defend your right to say it no less.
Right now, there should be some discussion about what's going to happen to the Republican party. it's probably of more interst than the elections.

it's RA. they'd blow their load all over some stupid 20 minute loop of a snare if it had a quirky flange setting. - Tiddles
lol woah, the degenerant, ignorant and reactionary sure raged up in that vid. imho. neocons etc etc. left open wide the door where evil dwells. i''d be glad to see their cause board the failtrain and derail.
edit:
i think the republican party should revamp their principles and ideals and think about refining /synthesizing their traditional values by washing themselves clean of outmoded traditions, theology and secular fatalism. in some ways, why are they so against absorbing broader integration and progression? just flying my constitutional/moderate colors is all, after having been raised by hardcore catholics and republicans, eff it im done with all that stuff. carry on.

remember in last night's debate when McCain declined to clamp down on the invective coming from his supporters at rallies, e.g., "terrorist," "kill him," etc. when Obama's name is mentioned, instead chastising those who would question his supporters? This exchange:
Well, these are the people McCain is

they're called 'conservative' for a reason. But, truth be told, anyone who is voting for McCain, rather than against Obama, should be called a neoconservative. This is the new conservatism.
We might be #1 to them, but that's like saying we're the hottest waitress at Denny's.

its been rough, my parents who are so old fashion,(sparing personal backround here) and unfortunately a lot of people where i'm from (orange county), including younger friends, are voting for mccain adamantly etc. there really is quite a bit of tension here like other battlegrounds in the nation. they are so "hellbent" on preserving the bush tactics. however, i cannot deny the fact that the way i was raised was on wholehearted conservate values, and i'm down right thankful for that... but in terms of the neocon republican backwardness, they truly cannot for their own survival... perfect the past, and cultivate the future. despite the outcome, i will vote neither of the two. meh. im so torn and fatigued atm., from it all. i really am quite over it. pushing on tho.
Wow, if I didn't see that I wouldn't believe it. I guess I've always known that individuals with those views existed but when you get a large group of people together you would think some of the more intelligent people would help to dilute the crowd a bit. Then again, maybe the intelligent ones decided to stay home. It's just plain scary to think people like that are allowed to vote.
