Why? what if you have to replace that? That jack is very easy to find and replace.....well imo

If it screws in, then I kinda like the idea that it can be replaced if damaged. At least you don't have to shell out new money for a brand new set of headphones..

Yeah I dont know if I like the jack... I dont see the benefit. My 700s are ancient and I have never had a problem with that area, nor have I heard of such a problem from others.

Just another connection waiting to go bad or provide interference.

i guess will have to wait and see some reviews from those who bought....ow well i have a pair of HD25's i bought recently and still haven't used so i think ill pass for now....
the O One price is 200 bucks!!!

this is the same feature the TECHNICS RP DH-1200 heaphones have.

those ortofones look cool imo! of course i dont know what their sound is like.

All I know is I don't think i'll ever shy away from Ultrasones anymore. Super nice. I know if I get back to serious DJ'ing I'm gonna pick up their DJ headphones for the gigs.

Hey, I've been lurking here for a bit, and just wanted to put my 2 cents in!

I have a pair of these!!!

Actually the cable is threaded so that it can't be pulled out/fall out during a gig. Ever since one of my sets of headphones had the cable go bad, I've been a believer when it comes to replaceable cables.

How do they sound? They sound nice and flat, which is a nice contrast to my HD-25s, which are great but have really overemphasized bass response. The Orts have really good timing, which really helps us DJs because they come across as more focused.

Thanks man i always wondered how these babies sound like....i own a pair of HD25s too and not thinking to change for now but wanted to hear some reviews about the ort's.....
