    Chelsea's home record goes

    Chelsea 0 Liverpool 1

Despite Chelski having a 12th man in the ref a Torres-less Liverpool scored (albeit with a fortunate deflection) and hit the post.

A fine defensive/midfield display saw them bag the points and go 3 points clear at the top of the Premiership.

yes, very happy to see that.. 86 matches was very impressive though.. it's good to see Liverpool up where they should be.. they always seem to be grouped in with the big clubs, but outside of some european success in recent years EPL success has eluded them

At least it makes the Premiership more interesting - a Liverpool title this season would at least end the predictability.

Plus the likes of City (with Robinho) and Villa are competitive and Hull a complete revelation ... even Spurs got a win under Harry !

no shit, Hull are a great story so far.. any idea whats the highest a newly promoted club has finished in the EPL?

it is refreshing to see some parity at the top of the table and not just man u, chelsea and arsenal fighting it out with the top 3 basically decided by christmas

was a bit of a shock to see harry take over spurs so quickly (unless i missed it, i didnt even see that being a possibility) but a great move on his part.. i mean, come on, spurs cant get relegated... can they?

In recent times probably Reading (8th place just narrowly missing a UEFA spot) - Wigan finished 10th in their 1st year.

It will be interesting to see how this plays out.. if Hull will come back to earth as the season goes.. looks like a rough next few weeks.. chelsea, man u, bolton, man city.. 3 of those being at home but still.. adding in the FA Cup.. either way, deffo looking to be one of the more interesting seasons in recent memory

Yeh ... points on the board is key - the quicker Hull clock em up the safer they are. Stoke and West Brom look certs to go down, after that its any one from Fulham, Bolton, West Ham and Everton*. I think the likes of Sunderland/Spurs/Newscastle with have sufficient firepower.

Newcastle have some work to do for sure, but I think Spurs just saved their season.. it might even behoove them to get out of the uefa cup early and focus on staying in top flight football.. not saying to throw the matches, just saying it wouldnt be the worst thing if they got knocked out

That was some come back from 4-2 down against the gooners - although Almunia is a comical goalie !
